Back when i was in grade school, my mom would ask me to wait for her in a hair salon packed with unusually-quiet hairdressers & chemical-based shampoos. The salon marketed the products well so I thought they were more advanced high-end products (I was a gullible kid!) so I used them more often. It was only after I made a lifestyle change (cos’ I was medically ill) with what food & beauty products I consume when I really realized my body responds better to natural-based products. From then on I gravitated towards buying body care items that are organic, contains lots of natural ingredients, environment-friendly, & as much as possible free from harmful chemicals.
It wasn’t easy an change ‘cos most of them were expensive. That’s why I was intrigued by the affordable Naturals By Watsons range that came in cute wood-like bottles that you guys can currently get a hold of & try at Sample Room PH. The ones I’ve used had their own fresh herbal scent that almost makes me feel like I’m having a spa in the middle of a forest when I use it. I’m not a big fan of herbal scented products but for some reason I find their aromatherapy scents relaxing & de-stressing. Let me give you my thoughts & first impressions on them.
Naturals By Watsons range comes in Argan (revitalising), Aloe Vera (soothing), Coffee (anti hair fall), Marula (propelling), Olive (deep moisturizing), Paw Paw (repairing), Rice Bran (brightening) that comes in body wash / scrub, shampoo, conditioner, hair mist, serum, mask, oil & more.
OLIVE SHAMPOO
My hair is naturally curly & frizzy. I learned that the best way to keep its moisture is to lessen my use of shampoo. I heard others say this shampoo doesn’t dry out their hair even when they use it daily but out of habit I use this every other day & it has the same result. It keeps the moisture & hydrating feeling in my hair & scalp throughout the day. I feel nicely cleansed when I use it unlike other shampoos that makes my scalp feel heavy & sticky.
Naturals by Watsons Olive Shampoo contains: Organic Olive Oil & extract rich in vit., natural fatty acids, hydroxytyrosol that restores vitality, Grape Seed Oil that soothes & protects, Abyssinian Oil that repairs dry & brittle hair, Sunflower Oil that revitalizes & boosts shine.
ARGAN CONDITIONER
Good argan-based products like this conditioner can easily make my dry-frizzy-curly hair shiny, manageable, softer, & smoother, with fewer tangles. It’s formulated with Moroccan Argan Oil aka “liquid gold”. It works really well with Watsons Natural Olive Shampoo but I’d love to try it with the Argan shampoo since the Argan conditioner is my favorite product from this bunch.

ALOE VERA HAIR & SCALP TONIC
I have long & thick hair so this no-rinse tonic’s well-made tube applicator makes spraying it directly onto my scalp so much easier & faster. I like to use it more after showering while my hair is damp vs applying it on with dry hair. It instantly moisturizes my scalp & makes my hair smell fresh. What I love about it the most is that I noticed my scalp isn’t itchy on days I use it.
Naturals by Watsons Aloe Vera Hair and Scalp Tonic contains: Organic Aloe Vera Juice that nourishe & soothes dry, itchy scalps to prevent flaking, Aloe Vera Extract that replenishes moisture, repairs the scalp with conditioning effect.
RICE BRAN CREAM BATH
This soap-free foamy cream bath is just perfect for our current late December-cold weather in February. I’ve used this daily since I received it ‘cos it was more moisturizing than the other soap I was using. It lathers nicely, doesn’t dry out the skin, and keeps my skin’s natural glow intact.
