How I Earn Money Back From Shopping Every Christmas

I earned a total of P7800 from using ShopBack.

I can’t tell you enough how much I love online shopping. It’s something I do whenever I want to celebrate, get over a bad day, pass time while I’m stuck in bed because of my injuries (which is my current state since November), and find the perfect Christmas gifts for my family during the holidays while skipping the long lines, sakit-sa-ulo heavy traffic, and not to mention the struggle to look for parking space at the mall.

I shop online a lot especially during Christmas and I’ve learned a couple of shopping hacks I’ve been meaning to share with you since 2016. I’m actually quite excited to publish this post here cos I know you’ll find this as useful as I did over the years. I use a rebate website called ShopBack (they also have a mobile app) and so far earned a total of PHP 7,800 cash, deposited straight to my bank account just for using ShopBack whenever I shop online. A good extra money I accumulated for awhile now which can add to my savings or to my Christmas gift shopping fund.

ShopBack is a cashback reward program that offers rebates and coupons from International & local brands online. You basically earn back a portion of every peso you spend.

HOW TO USE SHOPBACK

To use shop back, first you have to create an account at www.shopback.ph. You can also use their smartphone app. Browse through ShopBack’s list of partner stores. My top five stores I shop at the most there are; Zalora, Lazada, Ali Express, Sephora, and I also sometimes use Agoda for my online travel hotel bookings. ShopBack will display the cashback rates, discount coupons, and promos for the store you pick. Click on “Shop Now” to be redirected to the store’s website. And use that tab to shop as you usually would. It’s very important though that you stay within the redirected window tab until your purchase is over so that ShopBack can track and credit your purchase.

After a few minutes you’ll receive an email updating how much cash back you’ve earned from shopping at that store. It could range from 1% to 25% (or more) from the total amount of each order. You can redeem the money and have it deposited to your bank account when your cash back reaches PHP 300 / after around 60 days — which is a common time frame with most rebates sites. They have to make room for any changes in case you return your purchase, plus they also have to wait for their store partners to send them back your rebates.

It does take awhile but trust me, a little patience goes along way. The extra savings you’ll get is worth the little extra time you spend activating ShopBack. You can sign up at ShopBack using this link. And if you do sign up using my referral link, thank you cos that means you just contributed to Luna’s birthday fund, she wants a new doggie cave bed for next year! Hope you find this useful as you shop through the holiday season.
