MY FAVORITE DRUGSTORE CONTOUR PALETTE
If theres anything i hate most about cameras is that it really can add 10 pounds to my face (and body!) — making me look heavier than i actually am on photos. This is why contouring is a must for me. I like to contour my face lightly — so that it’s “barely there” (and not halata), but sometimes i like to indulge in that Kim Kardashian chiselled face look, which usually happens when i’m in a snappy mood lol!
I have a lot of bronzers and highlighters, and I rarely come across a palette as nicely put together and as affordable as the Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette (Fair 372). It costs P875 and you get three high quality products in one travel-friendly and sturdy ala Nars Cosmetics matte case.
SLEEK FACE FORM
Generally speaking all three products are nicely pigmented (you can build up the intensity of the color) and easy to blend cos of its soft smooth texture. They also lasts for about 5 hours (the blush fades the fastest and the bronzer fades the least) before theres any noticeable fading.
The Blush — popularly known as the Nars Orgasm blush dupe, which i love so much, is a peachy pink shade with finely milled shimmers in it. This is one of the best shimmer blushes in the market cos its universally flattering for a lot of skin tones. It makes you look like your crush just passed by and your cheeks glowed and naturally blushed.
The Bronzer — has got to be my favorite piece in the palette. It’s a natural warm matte brown that is perfect if you want to get that subtle and natural looking tan or contour. I love this as much as my high end bronzer faves Nars Laguna, and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil. Light to fair skin tones will like these the most, it may not show up so well on darker skin tones.
The Highlighter — is a champagne salmony white shade that compliments so well with the bronzer. I prefer my highlighter slightly yellow-warmer but this is still a very pretty highlighter shade that you can use to highlight your temples, bridge of your nose, and cupids bow.
I can’t think of anything bad to say about this palette other than i hope Sleek can make another more updated version with a matte blush in it. I feel like shimmer blushes are less popular these days and matte blushes go well together with the bold-Kylie-lip-trend that doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
I genuinely love this palette. I’ve even bought and given this palette as gifts to my friends countless times over the years — all of them were really happy with it. So i do highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a natural contour palette with a light to fair skin tone — you’re going to love this.
