MY NEW GO-TO LONG LASTING AND MATTIFYING FACE MAKEUP FROM L’OREAL

I’m lazy when it comes to retouching makeup. The products I carry around in my retouch pouch are so few, you wouldn’t even think I’m a beauty blogger. This is okay on a normal day, but especially not okay during events when there’s, for example, a product launch party where there are many cameras involved. I wouldn’t want a photo of my oily T-zone posted on someone else’s feed for everyone to see (which BTW already happened quite a lot of times lol!). So this brings us now to my new go-to face makeup combo from L’oreal, which is this lazy girl’s bestfriend.

Just to give you a background on how confident L’oreal is with the longevity of their new Infallible line – they invited makeup enthusiasts to wear the makeup and put them through a test by doing pilates, eating lots of oily but really delicious foods, and then, after that, do a photoshoot. I skipped on doing the pilates but I ate, drank, and tested these makeup for days after the event and they really are fade-proof, sweat-proof, and food-proof for a long and good amount of time.

INFALLIBLE MAKEUP

Some of you asked me before if the L’oreal Infallible 24HR foundation is better than Loreal’s True Match foundation. I love them both equally… but if you live an active lifestyle, if you have an oily or combination skin type (like me), or if the weather you’re in is currently humid then you’re going to like the Loreal Infallible Foundation (price Php700) more. It’s lightweight, it doesn’t cake, has a nice medium coverage, and the best part about it is that it’s matte.

The Infallible Pro-Matte 16HR Powder (price Php600) is a light coverage smooth powder that is very mattifying and acts as a good setting powder for the foundation. The case comes with a sponge and a compact mirror which come in handy for touch ups, which you barely need to do anyway with this makeup line, especially if you also use their Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender and Setting Spray (price Php500). It’s a clear spray with a light fresh scent. The scent fades after awhile and it’s not nauseating to people with sensitive noses like me.

I’ve used the foundation alone for a few times (with out the spray and the powder) and it lasted nicely through out the day with slight fading after 8 hours. But I have to admit I would rather use them all in one makeup look because they really are a power house combination. Together, they stay matte and fresh looking on me for the rest of the day until i take off my makeup before bedtime.

These are what I’ve been using lately when i need to take lots of self-portrait blog photos in one day. Just like in this (intro) photo of me with that japanese-y satin jacket (Penshoppe P1499). This photo was taken 6 hours after i applied my makeup (with out any retouch) and it is still matte and fresh looking. L’oreal really does a great job with their foundations and face makeup :)

I’ve been seeing alot of this lately on IG. For quite sometime, I’ve been looking for a great foundation for our humid weather and for my oily face. I haven’t tried the Infallible foundation or any Loreal foundation yet. But this would be included on my list, di ko lang alam kung sino mananalo at yun ang aking bibilin! Hehehe!

I have heard really amazing things about this foundation but to be honest, I am more curious about the setting spray.
The one I currently own is finishing and I need substitute. I’m quite torn between this one and NYX’s version.

and on a side note : That jacket is goooooorgeous!!!
